The tiny moving head generating an agile, parallel beam flying
so high in the sky
After revolutionizing the world of show lighting with its “beam con-
cept”, Clay Paky now presents Sharpy, a 189W lamp Beam Moving
Light with an unprecedented brightness that until now has only been
possible with lamps nine times more powerful. Its light beam is in fact
so concentrated and aligned that it looks more like a laser ray.
Sharpy’s secret lies in its highly professional optical group combined
with a cutting-edge Philips Platinum lamp complete with a reflector.
Due to the tiny arc of the source, the light emission is focused on an
incredibly small area, generating an absolutely parallel beam. Sharpy
is ground-breaking for the chromatic purity, sharpness and uniformity
of its halo-free beam. It also offers 14 different colors thanks to ultra-
pure dichroic filters.
19 gobos allow you to shape the beam for spectacular mid-air effects.
Additionally the electronic focusing system produces sharp-edge pat-
tern projection at any distance.
Last but not least, Sharpy is very small and lightweight: 50 cm x 16 Kg
(19,7 inches x 35 lbs), incredibly powerful for its size and eye-catching
in design. Easy to install and transport, it can be fitted anywhere, on
trusses at live and TV events, on stage, in showrooms or conference
rooms. Sharpy is also eco-friendly with its very low energy consum-
ption.
Winner of the PLASA 2010 Award of Innovation
A newly developed beamlight that uses a combination of innovative
engineering and optical technology to achieve a distinctive, bright
high-output from a 190-watt source. In the words of the judges, “we
never thought we’d see a 190-watt light that we could use in Wembley
Arena”.
